Stella Marquez-Murray

Stella was born in Bogota, Colombia, and worked for over 15 years in the hospitality industry as the assistant to the general manager of a six 5-star hotel chain in Bogota and Cali, Colombia. 

She obtained an associate's degree in languages specializing in translation from Politecnico Colombo Andino in Bogota, Colombia. In addition, Stella recently obtained an "Accounting Information Systems Certificate" from Bunker Hill Community College in Boston.

Stella immigrated from Colombia in 2000 and started what became a seventeen-year career as a member of the management team for The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ("NACA"), a non-profit community advocacy and homeownership organization, making the dream of homeownership for working people possible thru counseling and better terms than those provided in the prime market.

Stella loves spending time helping people through the home buying and selling process. She works closely with her husband of 20 years in his successful real estate practice in her role as Client Care Concierge. Stella is a true people person who gets things done and loves connecting with her Clients at different levels. She has abundant energy and loves challenges. 

Stella works in Finance and Administration for a boutique consulting firm in downtown Boston.

She has served as a member of the Finance Committee & Board of Directors for Compass Working Capital, a non-profit organization that provides savings and financial coaching programs that support families with low incomes to build assets, achieve their financial goals, and become financially secure. Stella is also a member of "Team Pie It Forward" for Community Servings since 2012, raising more than $27,000. 

She and her husband, Juan Murray, live in Boston. Their daughter, Maria, and her husband, Alec, live in Wilmington, NC, with their two dogs, Luca & Mila.

Stella loves volunteering, gardening, and traveling, and she enjoys photography and all the friendships built in the city while walking the streets of Boston.
